The Not So Good Infusion Sets

Interesting picture I know! But I have to post it.

This is to follow up with the "new" infusion sites we have to use. The first time we used it the site got a little infected and we had to change it after 2 days. The second time we used it this is what happened. Do you see the big bruise where the needle sits? I don't even need to explain the blood.

This stinks!

I plan on using these pictures to show the insurance if I have to. I just don't think I should make her be in pain just because the insurance says we have to use these.

Wow! I would not use those either, no matter what the insurance company says! I hope you can get them to allow a different kind.

Definitely good to document with pictures. :)

Stupid insurance...they don't know anything.

Next time we're close by for Lainey's endo appt. I'll do my best to look you up. We've gotta meet each other sometime.

I told my husband about your insurance dilemma with infusion sets. He looked up the infusion set on Mini Med's site. We were both horrified. He said that was the most archaic thing he had ever seen. I am so sorry. I have had sites get infected too and it really sucks.

Oh and while you are at it sending pics to the insurance company , also send them to your state senators offices and encourage them to get some kind of health care reform and this is what happens when insurance companys try to cut costs and raise rates LOL !!! sorry you are in pain and we all have to walk around with bruises because we cant afford the stuff that wont bruise us . Im so angry that this country has the highest health care rates in the world . Oh well sorry for ranting .

Poor baby! That's horrible!

Maybe showing these NOW would get the other ones back for sure. I sure hope they come to their senses when you show it to them!
