Focus

There has been a lot of that going on here lately. Looking past the things that are weighing me down and focusing on the things that are important in life. This last week has been an interesting one and I hope to never forget it. I haven't been more happy in months.

I wish I could just spit it all out and tell you why things seem so bright right now. Honestly, there really isn't just one thing. So many things have happened this last week that have really just lifted my spirits. Lots of family time, visiting with friends until the wee morning hours, playing on the water slide in the back yard, campfire confessions, impromptu BBQ, girl's night out to the movies, preschool graduation, and let's not forget the American Idol finale. (It's the little things people and yes American Idol makes me happy!)

I know this isn't going to last forever, it never does with us, but I am going to soak it all in while I can.

I want to know....what are you doing that is making you happy right now?

i love the new layout, it's so cheery & happy! i'm so glad that you had a good week, you deserve it! The things that truly make me the happiest are when I know my family is having a good time together without fighting. Another thing is when the kids discover something new & exciting & their eyes light up with excitement, those really are the best times!

I am glad things are on such an uptick lately. Who says it can't last? Things that make me happy...we finally spent a few hours whipping our front yard into shape. I know it won't last - but for now I am loving the weed free yard, neat and tidy grass, clean garage. Lots of sunshine also helps.

I too am glad things are looking up. We MUST cherish the up times to get us through the down. You described how I have been feeling lately, except for today, I had a bit of a slump.

I love spending time with my kids, reading them books, and feeding them ice cream cones. That makes them super happy, and when they are happy, so am I.
