Deep Breaths

You know how it feels to be weighed down by stress? I know, who doesn't right? Well you know how hard it is to really take a deep breath? Well I don't want to get into any details, but a few things happened today that helped me to be able to take a really good deep breath. It was refreshing. It was needed, and I feel SO MUCH better!

I will share one of the things that happened today. Only because I NEED some feed back. I want to know if I am the only one in this boat. I was able to take the kids to the library again today. For the last 4 months or so I HAVE BEEN BANNED! Why you ask? Because I had a $53 fine that needed to be paid. I paid it today and we spent about an hour there! It was awesome! Don't ask why the fine was so much! Don't tease me. My hubby has been doing that enough lately. He says that he is quite certain that I hold the record for the highest fine paid at the library. So I need to know. Do I really? What is the highest fine you have paid there?

I think I probably have you beat... but only accumulative-- not all in one bill! We use the library SO much that I totally justify the late bills... and the money is going to a great cause, so don't stress about it.

But can I just brag for a minute about the Vegas library system.. they do not have ANY late fees for children's items. not books, movies or anything and it has made my life so much easier! Of course, you have to pay for the item if you lose it, but no fees for any late items! I love it!

My fine at the Orange County Library System is $89!! I win, I WIN!!!

(My disclaimer is that they're saying I didn't return a book, which I totally did, but in a drop box, so I have no proof and the fine still stands. :o( )

I'll be honest. I've never had to pay a fine at the library. I'm a bit of a Type A personality. I will tell you, however, that I was there last week with Emma and overheard a guy there telling his friend that he just had to pay $83 for late fees there. That should make you feel better :)
I take Emma to the story time there on Weds morning if you'd ever like to join us!

I am not so bad at library fees but don't even ask me about the video store. That's why we decided its ALWAYS cheaper for us to just buy the darn movie right up front. We end up doing that anyway by the time we pay the fees.

My highest fine was about $25. I had no idea that videos were $1 a day when the were late! Ouch! I learned quickly!

I just paid my $24.00 one the other day. however it's already back up to .90. *sigh* I really don't MEAN to get stuff back to the library late. :)

I've never had to, probably cause I don't go enough?

ok as I am sitting here reading this, it is 10:40 at night and I just realized that all of our library books are due today. So I just want to say thanks for reminding me to renew all of them online before I go to bed. :) I have paid a few hefty fines because of movies too, I wont get them anymore.
